At the light/small-water end of the boating
spectrum, we’ve chosen a tough, alloy,
tiller-steer hull from Aussie manufacturer,
TABS Boats, based in south eastern Queensland.
The 4.2m Bullshark
is a no-nonsense alloy sport fishing vessel
that boasts 3.0 millimetre thick bottom sheets
with V-pressings for greater strength and high
2.5 mill’ sides. The TABS Bullshark also
has a raised, generously long, carpeted bow
casting platform, making it ideally suited to
all forms of lure and fly fishing; especially
sight-casting. Although primarily used in freshwater
and on estuaries, bays and harbours, the Bullshark
(like its finned namesake) is also perfectly
happy in open, inshore waters.
By adding a bow-mounted electric
motor and one of Yamaha’s brilliant new
F40F 4-stroke, tiller-steer outboards, we have
turned the TABS Bullshark into a valuable and
versatile part of our fleet.
Just being able to float on
the water is not enough.
