Hooker 6.7 m Pro Fisherman
- Boat Review
In 35 years of filming fishing
stories, we have seen a lot of fishing boats,
filmed in a lot of fishing boats, and owned
a lot of fishing boats. In that time there have
been marked changes in what is considered to
be a fishing boat. So we chose the Hooker for
the reasons detailed below. Just being able
to float on the water is not enough!
Safety
Closed Cell foam filled bouyancy means that
if the very worst happened, your boat would
still float. Stainless steel grab rails on the
console and the sides. This boat comes standard
with dual bilge pumps and float switch. Also
standard is the navigation lights and a very
useful floodlight. As Hooker Boats byline says
"Home Safe Every Time".
Stability
On water stability is very important to us in
a fishing boat, and this boat is great with
its beam of 2.45 metres. Plenty of room to move
and be sure footed.
Economy
A safe boat is an economic boat. As that TV
advert says 'If it saves you once a year...'.
Sound, sturdy construction is an economic factor
- next to no down-time and tough. No timber
is used in the construction, so no worries there,
and this boat comes with a 10 year structural
hull warranty.
Dry Ride
This boat was designed to cope with the jumps
and free fall that can be experienced when running
offshore. Spray is kept outside by the design
of the hull and chines.
Function
Full 360 degree fishing options, front casting
platform, smooth ride. Perspex screen on console.
Feet recess under side pockets and LED lighting
in the pockets. Removeable fiberglass bait board.
Swing over back-rest for helm seat. 400 litre
fuel tank for long range trips, and dual fillers
for the tanks so you will always pull up on
the right side at the service station. Plumbed
live bait tank and deck wash standard. Hydraulic
steering, and a stainless steel ladder.
Stowage
150 litre under floor kill pen, forward locker
and esky seat, 2 Side pockets, live bait tank,
dual battery box and a helm seat with an insulated
esky.
